HANOVER, Md. - Police believe a man killed his wife and left his three children inside of a mall restaurant with strangers before driving off and later killing himself.
Investigators say they were called to the Arundel Mills Shopping Center in Hanover Wednesday night after the father of three children, 7-year-old twins and a 6-year-old, reportedly left them with strangers at a restaurant inside of the mall.
Officers in Anne Arundel County contacted police in Baltimore County who went to the home address of the family on Davis Avenue in Woodstock, Maryland where they discovered the mother, identified as 28-year-old Amber Lynne Cox, dead from a gunshot wound.
Officers also discovered the father, 35-year-old Harry Anthony Rey, dead from a gunshot wound inside of his truck park on a road a few miles away from the mall in the Severn area.
Police believe Rey killed his wife, left his children at the restaurant, and then killed himself. The children were not injured. They are in the custody of family members.
The investigation is still continuing at this time.
