Emergency crews were on the scene of a trench rescue in Fairfax County Wednesday morning.

MCLEAN, Va. - Emergency crews rescued a person trapped in a trench in Fairfax County Wednesday morning.

Officials say the incident was reported around 7 a.m. outside of a home on the 1100 block of Towlston Road.

The department’s technical rescue team extricated the person who has been hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The collapse is still under investigation.
