Person of interest wanted for punching man in a wheelchair on Metro train, officials say
WASHINGTON - Officials are looking to identify a person of interest for assaulting a man in a wheelchair at a Metro station.
Metro Transit Police say on July 2, a man in a wheelchair was assaulted while riding a Green Line train near the Naylor Road Station in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland.
Officials say the man was riding the train when he saw the suspect cut the seat on a rail car and tried to speak to him. They say the suspect punched the man in the face and spat at him.
The man got off the train at the Naylor Road Station and refused medical attention.
