Authorities say a person was struck by a vehicle and killed on Interstate 295 early Tuesday morning in D.C.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue.
Closures in the area are expected to impact traffic for several hours.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
