BELTSVILLE, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A pedestrian who was on the side of a major highway in Prince George's County was killed after authorities say they were struck by a tractor-trailer early Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. on southbound Interstate-95 prior to Interstate-495
It is unclear why the person was on the side of the highway. Officials say the vehicle involved was A UPS double tractor-trailer. The two right lanes of Interstate-95 were closed for several hours.
The pedestrian has not been identified at this time. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
