MADISON, Wis. (FOX 10) -- Lottery officials in Wisconsin say a state retailer has sold a winning ticket to Wednesday night's $768.4 million Powerball drawings.
According to officials with Wisconsin Lottery, the store, which was not identified, will receive a $100,000 payout as a result of the win. This is the 17th time since 1988 that a winning Powerball ticket was sold in Wisconsin.
It is unknown as of Wednesday night on whether there are other winning tickets sold in the U.S. However, California Lottery officials say a ticket sold in San Mateo, as well as a ticket sold in San Jose matched five of the six numbers.
According to the Powerball website, tickets that match five of the six numbers, but not the Powerball, will win $1 million. Tickets that match four of the six numbers, as well as the Powerball, will win $50,000.
On the Powerball website, tickets sold in Arizona, California, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, and New York have won $1 million.
The numbers drawn on Wednesday night are 16,20,37,44,62, and the Powerball number is 12.
