PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. - Traffic enforcement on Indian Head Highway will increase in the wake of a crash that killed three children, and left their parents with serious injuries.
The crash occurred on Dec. 30.
The family injured was coming home from church and the driver who caused the crash may have been distracted or drinking.
Route 210 in Fort Washington is one of the most dangerous roadways in the DMV - and now the county's top leaders are giving drivers a stern warning.
"We are going to enforce the traffic laws. We're going to be looking for you," said Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks.
Alsobrooks went on to say that the county is working hard to find solutions to make Route 210 safer.
Each year the number of accidents, we still have this level of collision, this level of tragedy," said Prince George's County Chief Hank Stawinski.
We're told the driver was released from custody earlier this week. His license is suspended however he can drive to and from work.
