ROCKVILLE, Md. - Montgomery County Police say they are investigating a suspicious death at a Red Roof Inn in Rockville.
A body was found inside the hotel at 16001 Shady Grove Road just before noon on Saturday. The victim was initially identified as Kenneth Anthony Blakeney, age 22. Detectives have determined that the victim identified herself as a transgender female named Keyonna. Investigators believe that Keyonna was assaulted and killed in her hotel room in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 16.
Detectives have information that Keyonna may have been engaging in prostitution at the Red Roof Inn during that time. The investigation is continuing.
