SUITLAND, Md. - Authorities say an officer shot a dog after being bitten during a welfare check in Prince George's County.
The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Monday at an apartment building in the 3900 block of Suitland Road in the Suitland area.
Police say the officer discharged their weapon after being bitten. Investigators say another person was also bitten by the dog.
The condition of the dog is unknown.
