How to attend National Gallery Nights this spring
WASHINGTON - The National Gallery Nights is coming back! A DC spring is on the way and the annual anticipated art experience will have three events from March to May.
National Gallery Nights is an after-hours event at the National Gallery of Art where visitors get to experience and interact with exhibits at the National Gallery of Art.
When does National Gallery Nights begin?
Timeline:
The first National Gallery Night event begins on Thursday, March 13. The events take place on the second Thursday in March, April and May with each having a different theme. All National Gallery Nights are from 6-9 p.m. ET.

March 13: "Revolutionary Women"
April 10: "Reduce, Reuse, Remix"
May 8: "70’s Disco Prom"
How do I attend National Gallery Nights?
What we know:
National Gallery Nights provides tickets based on their lottery system. This means that those interested in attending must sign up on the National Gallery of Art website to be entered into the lottery system. The lottery opens the week before each event.
Lottery Schedule:
March tickets open March 3 at 10:00 a.m. and close March 6 at noon
April tickets open March 31 at 10:00 a.m. and close April 3 at noon.
May tickets open April 28 at 10:00 a.m. and close May 1, at noon.
The National Gallery of Art says that limited walk-up passes will be available the day of the event. However, they are first come, first served and will be available at 5:30 p.m. ET, the day of the event. The museum also says refreshments will be available for purchase.
