Mt. Airy fire: Crews battle commercial building blaze
MT. AIRY, Md. - Crews were battling a massive two-alarm fire at a commercial building in Mt. Airy, Maryland, on Thursday.
The blaze broke out in the 1000 block of S. Main Street before 3 p.m., according to the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department.
The Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department said several agencies were responding, including the Frederick County Fire Department, Montgomery County Fire Department and Howard County Fire Department.
Officials said the 10,000-square-feet building had a collapsed roof and possible collapsed walls. Crews were attempting to keep the flames from reaching a nearby building.
No injuries were reported.
