SILVER SPRING, Md. - Police in Montgomery County are asking for help in locating a 68-year-old woman who has been missing for over a week.
Investigators say Brenda Hopkins was last seen by a family member at her home a the 11700 block of Eden Road, just after 10 p.m. on August 8.
Police say it is believed Hopkins left her house by foot either that night or the following morning.
According to officials, Hopkins is a black female, who is 5-foot-7 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a blouse.
Detectives say Hopkins is known to go to the White Oak Shopping Center at 11200 New Hampshire Avenue.
Police and family members are concerned for her emotional and physical well-being.
