Montgomery County apartment partially evacuated after reports of explosives: officials

WHEATON, Md. - Authorities evacuated some occupants of an apartment building in Montgomery County Thursday a precaution after reports of explosives, officials say.

The apartment building is in the 11200 block of Georgia Avenue in the Wheaton area.

The bomb squad and other emergency crews were on the scene.

Residents of the eighth and ninth floors were evacuated. All other residents were asked to remain in their home.
