BETHESDA, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - The driver of a vehicle was hospitalized after a crash with a Metrobus along a snowy street in the Bethesda area Wednesday.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. on East West Highway between Connecticut Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue in Montgomery County.
FOX 5's Bob Barnard said authorities believe the Metrobus driver attempted to avoid a vehicle and in the process struck a sedan being driven by an adult male. Barnard said the man was transported to a nearby hospital. The extent of his injuries are unclear at this time.
The crash remains under investigation. Drivers can expect delays in the area.
Snow blanketed the D.C. region Wednesday coming down heavy at times and law enforcement officials around the area say they have responded to hundreds of crashes. The snow is expected to move out later this evening.
