Food and drinks could be on the menu soon at Metro stations across the D.C. region.

The potential changes are being presented to a board committee Thursday and would allow weekday farmers markets, pop-up food and grocery options outside of he paid areas of Metro stations.

The transit station's policy of banning eating, drinking, smoking and littering in Metro stations and vehicles would still be in place.
