Medical technician arrested for sexually assaulting patient during medical procedure
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - An employee at a Woodbridge medical office is accused of touching a woman inappropriately while performing a medical procedure.
Prince William County police say the alleged sexual assault happened Monday at Carient Heart and Vascular, which is located in an office building on Jefferson Davis Highway.
The 43-year-old female victim told police that she was inappropriately touched by 53-year-old Zakayo Kabuga during the procedure. Police say the woman immediately contacted them and they conducted an investigation.
Kabuga was arrested Thursday and charged with sexual battery. He is being held without bond.
Co-workers said Kabuga is a tech worker who works out of the Woodbridge office and in an office in Annapolis.
The suspect, who resides in Bryans Road, Maryland, is scheduled to appear in court in Prince William County on April 4.
Police do not believe there are any additional victims, but ask anyone to contact them if there are any concerns.
