Prince George's County Public Schools CEO Dr. Kevin Maxwell is expected to meet with Prince George's County lawmakers next week for the first time since a state audit on grade-fixing allegations was completed.

Maxwell was scheduled to appear at a hearing before the Prince George's County house delegation in Annapolis on Friday. He was expected to speak along with Prince George's County School Board member Edward Burroughs.

However, FOX 5's Bob Barnard reports Dr. Maxwell was at Central High School on Friday instead of being in Annapolis. On Thursday, there was a stabbing incident at the Capitol Heights school, and Maxwell along with Prince George's County Police Chief Hank Stawinski were at the school offering reassurance to parents.

The final report on the investigation into grade-fixing and fraud allegations to boost the graduation rate in Prince George's County Public Schools stated that almost five percent of students of a sample group from the 2017 graduating classes should not have graduated because they did not have enough credits.
