WALDORF, Md. - A Maryland Trump delegate was indicted this week on charges related to illegal transport of explosives, possession of a machine gun and child pornography, according to the Maryland GOP.
In a press release on Thursday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the indictment of Caleb Andrew Bailey, 30, of Waldorf, Maryland, charged with engaging with a minor to produce child pornography, transporting explosives, and illegally possessing a machine gun.
On May 5, law enforcement executed a search warrant "at adjoining properties associated with Bailey, including his residence, and seized a machine gun," according to the statement.
Court documents allege that Bailey also used a minor to produce child pornography, and that child pornography was found in his possession.
Bailey faces a hearing on May 24, and faces up to 30 years in prison for the production of child pornography charge, and up to 10 years for other charges.
The Trump campaign said in a statement, "We strongly condemn these allegations and leave it in the capable hands of law enforcement. He will be replaced immediately."
