"Oh my gosh, I’m still receiving; My phone has been going non-stop blowing up since 5:00 pm yesterday," said Adeyemi. "There’s people who have helped me with the job search, there’s people asking to help me create a resume, there’s people offering to help with my childcare."
The sad part is, people that they’re still experiencing problems with the Maryland unemployment website. They’re taking to social media to express their frustrations. When people attempt to login, the website states it’s running slow due to so many people trying to log on at once. Marylanders are having to reapply for benefits because of a federal requirement to do so once you hit one year on unemployment.
A grandmother in Montgomery County, Angie Bailey, is calling the situation a headache.

"I have bills that I have to pay and I’m having to call them and let them know I haven’t received any payments yet," said Bailey. "It’s frustrating for me and then I’m gonna eventually have to call my family and ask for help and I don’t want to do that."
She spent days waking up at 2 a.m., 3 a.m., 4 a.m., and 5 a.m. to see if the website would work.
Governor Larry Hogan’s Office and the Department of Labor did not respond to FOX 5’s inquiries today. They did reveal a provider added more servers to the site to handle the increased volume, but people are still having issues.

"The only thing I have to say to Governor Hogan is – they need to step up and do something about this. I understand they have more servers or added servers, but evidently, they’re still not working – can’t get through on the phone – so what else are we to do?" said Bailey.
FOX 5 will stay on top of this developing story.
