WASHINGTON - Maryland first lady Dawn Moore is ready for a busy holiday season! She stopped by FOX 5 to talk about the holiday open house in Annapolis, the much-anticipated Army-Navy game at Northwest Stadium, and even what’s on her holiday wish list!
Governor Wes Moore and first lady to Host Holiday Public Open House
Governor Wes Moore and first lady Dawn Moore will celebrate the holidays this weekend when they open the doors of the Government House for a Public Open House.
"I want all Marylanders to know they are absolutely invited!" the first lady said when she visited FOX 5 on Friday. "This is my favorite time of the year. This is our family's favorite time of the year, and the house just looks so bright, and festive, and Christmassy. And it’s so much to see!"
The restored Government House will be decorated for Christmas. Guests will be treated to cookies and cider and will have the chance to see a new painted mural and listen to holiday music.

Governor and first lady to attend Army-Navy game
The Moore’s will also attend the 125th rendition of the Army-Navy game Saturday. The game will be held at the Washington Commanders’ stadium in Landover, Maryland.
"Our whole family is going," the first lady said. "My husband served our country in such a noble and brave way, and he is – for 364 days he goes with the Navy. But for this one day, he is all Army, of course, as he served in the Army. He's going to be cheering hard for the Army!"

Best reaction you've seen to a gift you gave?
"So my kids, when you give them something they want and they scream to the top of their lungs. And then if you give my husband something he wants, which is more like an experience, he's got that big, toothy smile!"
What's on your wish list for Maryland for 2025?
I would say a fabulous Preakness Festival! I want this to be the biggest Preakness celebration that Maryland has ever seen. You know, I went to the Kentucky Derby a couple of years ago and they do a fabulous job, but I think we can do it better in Maryland!"
