Maryland boy with cystic fibrosis will have wish to be K9 police officer come true
WASHINGTON - At only 8 years old, Ember has been through a lot. This sweet boy from Hagerstown, Md. was born with cystic fibrosis, and he's undergone many surgeries along the way.
Through it all, his spirit hasn't been dampened. In fact, if you met Ember, you'd never know what he's already experienced in his short life. He is excited and happy and loves to play.
Like any other kid, he has hopes and dreams and wishes. Ember's greatest wish is to be a K9 police officer. In his words, "cause they're brave. And I'm brave."
What Ember doesn't know is that there's a very special surprise in store for him. On December 15, FOX 5 DC is partnering with Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic to make Ember's wish to be a K9 police officer come true!
