Man struck, killed along Route 1 in Laurel

LAUREL, Md. - A man was struck and killed Wednesday by a pickup truck along a busy road in Prince George's County.

The incident happened near Route 1 and Bowie Road in Laurel around 7:16 a.m.

Police say the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

Three lanes of traffic were blocked along Route 1 while investigators were on the scene.

The cause of the incident remained under investigation.
