Man shot, killed near Catholic University in DC

WASHINGTON - Authorities in the District are investigating a homicide near Catholic University.

Police say a man was shot Monday night on Seventh and Monroe Streets in the northeast.

Officers say a man was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was unconscious and not breathing when he was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The shooting remains under investigation.
