Man shot, killed in Southeast DC as city's homicide count continues to climb

An overnight shooting death in southeast D.C. is now the city's 138th homicide of the year.

D.C. police investigators say a man was shot around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue. Officers say dozens of shots were fired and the man died on the scene.

Police say they are looking for a black male with black clothing in connection with the shooting. The investigation is continuing.
