Man shot dead in Capitol Heights near DC line

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed Monday morning in Capitol Heights.

Police responded to the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for the report of a shooting.

They found the man suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later.
