Man killed in shooting near Anacostia Park

WASHINGTON - Authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed Thursday night near a southeast D.C. park.

Police responded to the 1900 block of Anacostia Drive just after 9:15 p.m. where the gunshot victim was found unconscious and not breathing. He died at the scene.

Police say the male suspect may have been wearing a red shirt. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
