Man fatally shot outside apartment complex in New Carrollton

NEW CAROLLTON, Md. - Police say they are investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in New Carrollton Monday evening.

New Carrollton police say their officers responded to the 5300 block of 85th Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
