Man fatally shot in Southeast DC after brother was killed at same location last year

"We have to stop this killing:" Mother speaks out after second son's murder

"I just want justice," said Kathy Price. Her son was found shot to death Thursday evening, in the same location that her other son was shot and killed last year.

A man who was found shot to death in Southeast D.C. has been identified and police are searching for a suspect in the case. 

36-year-old Alonzo Marshall was found shot in the 2200 block of Savannah Street, SE around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday. 

DC Fire and EMS responded and pronounced Marshall dead at the scene. His remains were later transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office and the victim was identified as 36-year-old Alonzo Marshall.

FOX 5 spoke with Alonzo's mother, Kathy Price. This is the second son she's lost in the exact same location. Clayton Marshall was fatally shot on Savannah Street on April 12, 2022. 

"We have to stop this killing. I've lost two sons. I am totally devastated right now," said Price. "I just want justice for Alonzo and justice for Clayton, my sons." 

No suspects are in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
