Man dead after double shooting in Montgomery Village, father-in-law charged with murder: police

Authorities say a man is dead after a double shooting in Montgomery County Thursday night. 

Police say at around 9:58 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 10200 block of Wild Apple Circle in Montgomery Village after receiving a report of a shooting. 

When they went inside, they located two men, later identified as Christopher Repp, age 43, and Michael Ewell, age 57, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in an upstairs bedroom. 

Ewell was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, Repp was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say Ewell and Repp were father-in-law and son-in-law. They both resided at the home. 

An investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. 

Police say an arrest warrant was obtained for Ewell who has been charged with first degree murder.
