Man in custody after woman found dead in Northwest DC: police

WASHINGTON - Police say a man is in custody after a woman was found dead in Northwest D.C. Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Girard Street, Northwest, just after 8:45 a.m. for a report of a domestic incident.
When they arrived, officers found an adult female unconscious and not breathing.
D.C. Fire and EMS responded to the scene and the woman was pronounced dead.
