Kindergartners work to cut down on food waste

Proving that you are never too young to make a difference, some local kindergartners are doing their part to reduce food waste!

POTOMAC, Md. - Proving that you are never too young to make a difference, some local kindergartners are doing their part to reduce food waste!

What started as an idea in the classroom turned into a partnership with a local non-profit.

FOX 5's Bob Barnard visited Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland with the important classroom lesson and more about Martha's Table.

Bullis kindergartners working to curb food waste

Some Maryland kindergartners at Bullis School are trying to cut down on the amount of food wasted at lunchtime every day. FOX 5's Bob Barnard spoke to Rachel Ruina -- the kindergarten teacher overseeing the project.
