Spotify issues resolved after widespread outage

Spotify was down for many users Wednesday morning.
According to downdetector, a website for reporting tech outages, more than 35,000 people reported issues with Spotify as of 9 a.m. ET Wednesday. Outage reports appeared to peak around (;35 a.m. ET with 48,185. Most of the issues were reported with their app, but some users said they're having problems with the Spotify website as well.
According to Spotify, the outage was fixed just after noon ET.

Spotify acknowledged the outage on X: "We're aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!" the post on the Spotify Status reads.
About two hours later, Spotify posted a second update, saying that they're working to resolve the outage. Spotify told FOX TV Stations that "reports of this being a security hack are completely inaccurate."

Spotify is the world's most popular audio streaming subscription service with more than 675 million users and 263 million paid subscribers in over 180 countries, according to Spotify's website.
The company didn't say what caused the outage or how many people are impacted.
