Injured owl rescued from side of Maryland road

An injured owl is alive after a caring couple rescued it from the side of a Maryland road.

Jane Baxter and her husband spotted the owl Monday night while driving in the Potomac area.

Baxter said they stopped and wrapped the owl in a towel. They then took it to a veterinarian friend's home.

The owl is doing well and is being taken to a Gaithersburg animal shelter.
