WASHINGTON - How would you respond if life handed you a huge challenge to overcome like cancer? For Michael Erlandson, and other cancer patients like him, the answer has been to design socks!
He's participating in a project that uses unique sock designs (CHECK THEM OUT HERE!) to raise funds for cancer patients and families like his.
Michael is in grade-school and is crazy about baseball! He hasn't let his cancer stop him and even presented a pair of his special socks to one of his favorite player - Washington Nationals Bryce Harper.
He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014 when he was just six years old. His cancer has kept him sidelined from many things he loves but his friends and family have always been by his side.
Even though his is still fighting, Michael always finds the strength to participate in the Light the Night walks held each fall in Washington, D.C. (CHECK OUT THE LIGHT THE NIGHT EVENTS IN DC, MD, & VA!)
