Homicide investigation after man dies after being found on Benning Road, police say

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Police are investigating a homicide after a man died after he was found unconscious and not breathing along a roadway in northeast D.C. Officers say the man was found around 9 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of Benning Road.

Investigators were still on the scene Tuesday morning. Several westbound lanes of Benning Road were closed. Police said the man died sometimeTuesday morning.
