Ground stop for departures at Reagan National Airport lifted

Federal Aviation Administration officials have lifted a ground stop for departures at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport outside of Washington, D.C. due to snow and ice.

The ground stop was in effect until 8:15 a.m.

Several inches of snow have fallen Friday morning and more snow is expected into the afternoon.
