Suspect wanted in deadly Fredericksburg shooting 'armed and dangerous,' police say
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Fredericksburg police have identified the suspect wanted in connection to a shooting that left a 23-year-old man dead in the early morning hours Saturday.
Police say Elijah Musgrove is wanted for second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police say officers responded to the 400 block of William Street after hearing gunfire around 1 a.m. on Dec. 14. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds on Charles Street.
They provided aid until EMS arrived at the scene and the victim was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He has since been identified as Tyler Lee Jones of Fredericksburg.
Police say the investigation is still in its early stages and no suspect information has been released at this time. The Stafford and Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Offices assisted.
Police say Musgrove should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities said another man was also charged in the deadly shooting. Izaiah Jabbar Daniels, 21, is currently incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, facing charges of second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office took Daniels into custody during a vehicle stop. The Fredericksburg Police Department then obtained warrants and took Daniels into custody.
