Firefighters work to control early morning fire in Northeast

D.C. Fire and EMS responded to an early morning fire in the 3100 block of Douglas St in Northeast

Authorities say firefighters did not enter initially due to the volume of the fire in a vacant boarded up structure that needed to be opened up first.

There were no reported injuries.
