Firefighter injured battling blaze at Prince George's County home

A firefighter was injured Thursday while battling a blaze at a two-story single-family home in Prince George's County.

The Prince George's County Fire Department responded to the emergency call at 2:54 p.m. on Livingston Road. SkyFOX captured images of flames visible through the roof as crews arrived on the scene and began defensive firefighting operations.

The firefighter, who suffered minor injuries, was taken to the hospital. As of the latest update, the firefighter is reported to be in stable condition. Crews remained on scene throughout the afternoon, working to contain the fire and address lingering hot spots.

The fire caused an estimated $750,000 in damage, though the exact cause remains under investigation. In addition to the property damage, two adults and three children have been displaced by the blaze and have been relocated for the time being.
