Fire displaces 8, injures 3 in Woodbridge

A two-alarm fire displaced eight people and injured three, including a firefighter, at a townhome community in Woodbridge Sunday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Prince William County Fire & Rescue officials say it began just before 6 p.m. and quickly spread to two other units in the 1800 block of Tilletson Place.

Two residents and a firefighter suffered minor injuries, according to officials. They were transported to a local hospital.

Neighbor Lee Harris told FOX 5 he saw smoke coming from a townhouse a few doors down and helped alert other neighbors.
