Fire damages home in Manassas City, occupants escape through 2nd floor window
MANASSAS CITY, Va. - The occupants of a house in Manassas City escaped an early morning fire by climbing out of the second floor window.
The fire was reported around 5:22 a.m. on Thursday in the 8600 block of Weems Road.
Officials say four people were in the yard of the home when they arrived. Manassas Fire and Rescue Chief Edward Mills says the occupants escaped through a second floor window before they got there.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
