Tractor-trailer fire causes major delays on DC beltway outer loop

FORESTVILLE, Md. - Major delays are expected Thursday after a tractor-trailer fire along the Capital Beltway in Maryland.

The fire happened along the outer loop lanes after the MD-4/Pennsylvania Avenue exit.

Traffic has been reduced to only the far left lane.

Delays extend from the Ritchie Marlboro Road exit.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
