FORESTVILLE, Md. - Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal shooting at a gas station in Forestville.
Police say officers responded to a BP gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane at around 7:15 p.m. Monday where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Police believe the shooting was not related to a robbery and does not appear to be random. It is unknown if the victim and suspect knew each other.
"We would ask anyone who has any information, if there are any possible witnesses, anybody who heard anything, as small as they might think it is, to give us a call at 1-866-411-TIPS -- that is our Crime Solvers line," said Prince George's County Police Officer Michael Owen. "They can remain anonymous. There is up to a $25,000 reward being offered."
Police say they do not know if there is any surveillance video recorded by cameras at the gas station at the time of the shooting.
