The parents of murdered 10-year-old Makiyah Wilson has filed a $45 million wrongful death lawsuit against D.C.'s Housing Authority.

Donnetta and Michael Wilson say despite multiple murders in the Clay Terrace neighborhood over many years, the city failed to provide adequate security in the public housing complex prior to Makiyah's shooting death outside her home last summer.

FOX 5's Jim Lokay sat down with Donetta Wilson and her attorney Brian McDaniel Thursday night.
