Fairfax County Police investigating fatal construction accident
Police in Fairfax County are investigating a fatal construction accident in McLean that left a juvenile male dead and a man injured.
McLEAN, Va. - Police in Fairfax County are investigating a fatal construction accident in McLean that left a juvenile male dead and a man injured.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue officials say crews responded to the 1800 block of Solitaire Lane at around 3:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a construction worker and a juvenile trapped in a collapsed ditch at a residential construction site.
The worker and the juvenile were extracted from the ditch and transported to a local hospital.
Police say the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the hospital.
