POTOMAC, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - An emotional support dog that went missing months ago is now back with its family in Maryland.
In mid-May, Macks vanished and the 4-year-old boy who became Macks' best friend was heartbroken.
At the time, police suspected a landscaping crew may have picked up Macks.
Days ago, someone reached out to police say they had found the dog.
"He means the world to him. It's his therapy companion... it's his best friend. It's the one constant that's always been here," said the boy's mom.
