Police ID driver killed in crash on Landover Road in Prince George’s County

CHEVERLY, Md. - Authorities have identified the driver who was killed in a crash Sunday night in Prince George’s County.

The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 6500 block of Landover Road in the Cheverly area.

Officers say the driver, identified as 29-year-old Eloy Ramirez of Hyattsville, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators say Ramirez was driiving northbound on Landover Road when he lost control and struck a tree. Anyone who witnesses the crash is asked to contact police at 301-731-4422.
