Driver flees after crash sends vehicle into building: DC police
WASHINGTON - The driver of a vehicle involved in an early morning crash in D.C. drove off from the scene before authorities arrived, police say.
The crash happened around 12:18 a.m. Wednesday in the 5700 block of Georgia Avenue in the northwest.
Police say the collision sent one vehicle into a building, trapping one of the car’s occupants inside. Investigators say the second vehicle that was involved fled the scene before police arrived.
One victim was transported to a nearby hospital. The investigation is continuing at this time.
