STERLING, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Authorities have charged a man with involuntary manslaughter after they say a vehicle he was driving crashed, killing the passenger late Fourth of July night in Loudoun County.
Police say 30-year-old Cameron T. Prince was driving north on Randolph Drive toward Prentice Drive in Sterling around 11:30 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed into the southbound lane, and crashed into a tree.
A female passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized after the crash but later died from her injuries. Officials say speed was a factor in the crash.
Police say Prince is being held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
