Three dogs in Canada picked a fight with the wrong wild animal.
Mahalo, Nestah and Soljah were playing on a farm in Craven, Saskatchewan when they encountered a porcupine, according to a report.
The porcupine's quills pierced Mahalo the pit bull's heart and lungs. Nestah was hit in the face by about a dozen quills, while Soljah had minor wounds to its mouth.
The total vet bill cost the owner around $8,000. All dogs are OK and Mahalo, who was the worse injured, is now recovering at home.
